Welcome to the Health Room at Wayne Carle Middle School

On this page, you will find information about what is needed to allow us to provide for your students health needs. If you have a question or would like to speak to the nurse or health aide about your student’s health needs, please reach us at the numbers listed above.

Parents should bring any health concerns to the attention of the health aide or nurse. The purpose of the health room is to provide first aid and to screen students complaining of an illness. It is imperative that someone be available and prepared to pick up their student in the event of illness or accident. A sick student must be picked up within 30 minutes of the school contacting the parent or designated adult. Our school does not have facilities to keep students who are contagious or so ill that they need to be home.

If your child shows sign of illness at home, please take the time to assess their symptoms prior to sending them to school.  For further information on whether or not to keep your child home, please refer to the document below 'How Sick is Too Sick.'

All medications, including over-the-counter medication (ibuprofen/Tylenol, cough drops, cold medicine, etc.), must be checked into the health room by a parent/guardian and still in the original container that it was purchased in. A medication agreement form will need to be completed by the parent/guardian and physician. These forms are available in the health room or you may download a copy below.
