About Our School

Front of Wayne Carle Middle SchoolWayne Carle Middle School opened in August of 2006. The school was built to help with overcrowding at Mandalay Middle school and to feed Standley Lake and Ralston Valley High Schools. Our school is named for Dr. Wayne Carle, who was a valued educator, principal, and administrator in Jefferson County for many years.

The Wayne Carle Vision:

  • We do... purposefully collaborate, communicate, and work to create a positive, caring community that empowers students and staff to achieve their personal best.
  • We are... a committed, passionate, and willing staff dedicated to our craft in order to promote the growth and success of our students and peers.
  • We believe... all students can achieve greatness when we value and utilize the strengths of one another in order to focus on the growth of the "whole" child (personal, social, emotional, and academic).

Here at Wayne Carle...

  • Our students exceeded district and state medians for performance and growth on the most recent state assessments.
  • Our most recent school climate data reflects a high level of ownership and a sense of belonging for our students.
  • We use a Positive Behavior Support program to help establish student norms and recognize successful student performance.
